Get plenty of light and plenty of style. The Alta floor lamp has a tapered walnut wood body with brushed steel accents. The frosted glass shade diffuses light from two bulbs. An Adesso patented 300 Watt Double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150 Watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the shade cup to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included. The three-way switch adjusts the light from low setting, high setting to off position. NOTE: Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable led bulbs (DO NOT USE: 3-way bulbs or CFL’s). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low setting flicker, but may still occur.
